RACP Digital Congress: Electronic prescriptions: What you need to know.
Electronic prescriptions are a key priority of the National Digital Health Strategy, offering a secure, safe and convenient option for patients and prescribers.

RACP is pleased to be hosting an interactive session on electronic prescriptions in collaboration with the Australian Digital Health Agency; main sponsor of the RACP Online Congress Series.

Subject matter experts will present on a range of topics, providing an overview of the roadmap for electronic prescriptions and capabilities that will be available for prescribers. Topics covered will include:

Ms Osman is an Adoption and Clinical Use Lead at the Australian Digital Health Agency, who is an Accredited Pharmacist by background. She has over 12 years experience in pharmacy, working in both the community setting and conducting Home Medicines Reviews. She has also worked at the Nepean Blue Mountains Primary Health Network as part of the successful My Health Record Opt-Out trial. She is passionate about utilising digital health strategies to enhance patient outcomes and improve medicines safety.
Mr Carey Doolan

24 years’ experience in health services in Australia and England including 14 years change and adoption experience in a variety of digital health projects including the recent My Health Record Expansion program, the initial Personally Controlled Electronic Health Record (PCEHR) implementation, the eHealth NSW HealtheNet Program and NHS electronic record implementations. Prior to digital health, Carey was a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Community Mental Health. He enjoys living in Newcastle with interests in off-road driving, stand-up paddle boarding and follows a variety of sports including his children’s basketball teams.
