Question submitted from a member: I am a geriatrician who is doing private and public practice. My private practice income is affected by the COVID-19 (reduced of more than 30%). I am not forced to close my clinic but chose to reduce seeing patients. Am I eligible from the jobseek package of $1500 per fortnight?
I am reasonably booked for April but have almost nothing in May. Will I still be able to apply?
Question from a member: If these payments are in arrears, should we (who are paying ourselves as director’s fees) start paying ourselves $750/wk from now?
In assessing revenue over the first fn of April, is the delay in receiving Medicare cheques considered? ie revenue received from April 1-14 will reflect payment for services over months prior.

Further to the question submitted : I am in a similar position, but my business structure is a Company pty ltd. I am a director who is paid via dividends and director’s fees. Am I also eligible for the job keeper package?
Question from a member: I’m sorry to be dense, but what is the definition of a “sole trader”? If I am a physician who pays rent and services to a business to practice, but I do not personally employ anyone, is that a sole trader?

I work as sole trader in private practice wherein I had noticed a significant decline in revenue. I am also employed in the public hospital so I get a regular salary. Will I still be eligible for the government payments if I demonstrate >30% drop in my private practice income?
